Massage & Trigger-point Therapy
Massage therapy is the mobilization of the soft tissues which include muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and skin. The therapist uses a number of mobilizing techniques with varying amounts of pressure and movement according to the needs of the treatment.
Trigger point therapy is a soft-tissue treatment that helps release tense, painful knots in your muscles and fascia (web of connective tissue)
Massage and Trigger-point therapy are a part of integrative medicine and can be used for a wide range of medical conditions i.e:
Musculoskeletal conditions, Chronic pain, Stress-related conditions, Circulatory problems, Injuries, Rehabilitation after injury or sugery, Pregnancy related discomfort and other chronic conditions.
Myofascial Mobilization
Myofascial tissue is a network of tissue that spreads into multiple layers throughout your entire body. It connects your muscles, joints, bones, and even reaches into your extracellular matrix. It also provides support to your organs, helping to keep them in place.
Myofascial mobilization aims to improve the overall function of all metabolic processes by releasing restrictions within the fascial system and by addressing muscular imbalances that may limit movement. Medical conditions where this technique may be applied include:
Restricted joint mobility, Musculoskeletal injuries, Scar tissue and adhesion, Postural Imbalances and more.
Acupunture
Acupuncture is an ancient practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves inserting very fine needles into specific points on the body. These points, known as acupoints, are located along pathways called meridians. The goal of acupuncture is to balance the body's energy, which flows through these meridians. By stimulating these points, we aim to restore bodily awareness and improve the body's natural ability to heal itself by regulating internal organ functions.
Medical conditions where acupunture may be applied include:
Myofascial pain syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Tension headaches and migraines, Temperomandibular joint disorder, Lumbago, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tennis elbow, Golfers elbow and Postural Imbalances.
